It is my mission to provide you and your special pup with a wonderful photography experience that will result in lovely images of your best fur friend to treasure forever.
Dogs usually stay on leash during their session and it is magically edited out later in photoshop!
My camera is super fast, and with loads of treats and patience, we can capture the images that show your dogs true personality.
The well-being of your dog is always my first priority. I will take all the time needed to put them at ease in front of the camera.
Together we'll determine a date that fits your life and vision. And if our PNW weather doesn't cooperate, we simply reschedule.
A session fee and signed agreement reserves your spot on my calendar.
In the weeks leading up to your session, a phone consultation is offered to tie up any loose ends, assist with outfit selection, and answer any questions.
When your session date comes you can relax and have fun!
A few weeks after your session you will get a reveal of your image proofs. Together we select your final images and choose how you would like to display them. I can even show mock-ups on your actual walls! This is my favorite part, it's so fun to see it all come together.
All of my product offerings come with a promise that you will love them, or I will buy them back!
With proper care they will last a lifetime, delivering a daily dose of joy and wonderful memories.

Celebrate your dog during their golden years with images worthy of displaying in your home. It is always on honor for me to capture these endearing images.

As a Full-Service Photographer, I don't just take your photos and then abandon you with beautiful images you can only look at on your phone, no! While there are many creative humans out there with gobs of spare time in their organized, perfectly balanced life who can take those digitals and DIY them into beautiful albums and wall pieces- most of us just don't have the time, patience, tools, or confidence to tackle such a project. Often people become overwhelmed and never print anything at all- this makes me so sad.
Let the professional handle it! Your photo experience will be so much more enjoyable. Planning and getting the photos taken is usually a victory in itself- don't give yourself more work. All that is required of you is to have fun planning and shooting your session, and then choose the images and products you love. I assure you our final results, stunning pictures on your walls or a beautiful album, whatever you love, will bring you joy every day.

"Heather is an incredibly talented photographer. She is also a consummate professional who is absolutely wonderful to work with. She makes the sessions feel fun and natural, and the results are just stunning. I've been lucky enough to work with her on an equine shoot as well as for wedding anniversary photos, and both were equally fantastic."
"Heather did a photo shoot of all the animals here- 20+ equines and assorted cats, ducks and chickens. All the photos are wonderful! She knows how to capture their essence! Plus, she is a very kind and easy-going person. If you need photos, I highly recommend Heather."
"There are not enough good things to say about Heather. She has a touch with animals, and is phenomenal with a camera. Her professionalism and ability to create the images I desired was remarkable. I would recommend her to anyone looking to capture a special moment with a 4-legged loved one!"
"Heather is an exceptional photographer. She always goes above and beyond to not only get the perfect shot and capture every detail, but to make it fun, too. My family and pets adore her!"
"Heather is an incredibly talented photographer. My senior dog who hates having his photo taken did so well. She makes the sessions feel fun and natural, and the results show in the pictures."
"Heather is a true professional. She worked through some logistical and timing issues with flexibility and cooperation. She captured the personality of Max perfectly!"
The safety of your pet is my number one priority, so it is commonplace for dogs to always remain leashed during their session. I even have a long line to utilize for action shots! Each dog and situation/location will be evaluated for as we go for ultimate safety and enjoyment. We can strategically photograph your pet so the leashes, handler, and anything else can be magically removed in Photoshop.
Most all of the dogs I photograph are not professional dog models (it's a thing) or obedience class graduates. They are your everyday companions with their quirks and selective listening, and that is PERFECTLY FINE! My camera fires at 1/1000 of a second, so sitting still is optional. I have a lifetime of experience working with dogs and horses, and have the patience, skills, and the time to make them comfortable in front of the camera with positive reinforcement and a low pressure, fun atmosphere.
Your session includes all the dogs from the same household.
Yes! I also photograph horses, cats, and chickens! I am open to all animal friends.
I have many locations to choose from that I know will produce great images and a safe and fun experience for you and your dog. Depending on the needs of your dog, and what style of images you are after, we can choose from urban, beach, forest, or even your own backyard. This will all be discussed during your planning session.
Yes! I encourage you and anyone from your household to be in the photos with your dog, including children over the age of 5. During our planning session we can discuss what the sessions main focus should be, mainly the dog themselves, your relationship together or a combination of both.
I'm so very sorry. The only flaw of our pets is that their lives are too short. I do provide end of life sessions for a special rate, and will work to fit you into my schedule on short notice. These sessions hold a special place for me, it is an honor to provide these images and this service that really speak to our beautiful bond with our pets.
I always encourage clients to imagine what they would like to do with their images- be that a stunning wall piece, a custom album, or prints to share. Do you have something custom and specific in mind? Just ask! I'm happy to help your vision come to life.
I am based in Arlington, WA in Snohomish County. I travel along the I5 corridor from south King County to the north Skagit County line, and east to the Cascade foothills. I charge a travel fee for destinations over 20 miles away. Please contact me for a custom travel quote.
